Recycled History
Wood as it were!

If you have an old building that is still standing, Solid Timber Construction may be able to use your good structural materials for additions, garages or pergolas.

Old barns often appear to be in bad shape, however, there may be usuable rafters, posts and siding. We can evaluate your old structure for its potential reuse.

Here, we have a classic Hunterdon County barn that has not been used for many year. Since the roof was sound, this barn had many reusable timbers, posts, and siding.
History Revealed
Good Bones

After a structure has been evaluated for reuse, the next step is to photograph the building and then begin the dismantling process. The siding is removed, graded for reuse and stacked. Now, the frame is exposed-history revealed!
Adaptive Reuse
From here to there

With good planning and forethought, the usable parts will be marked for reassembly and then transported to their new site. The timbers from the old barn will be used to create a new addition for this family.
